Chokers add a subtle emphasis while not detracting from the rest of your outfit. If you're looking to complete a summer look, try a lariat necklace. Lariat necklaces with their length and loop style are perfect for summer festivals and street wear.

Pendants.

Similar to necklaces, pendants can add character and reveal a little of yourself through your style. If you're geek chic try a retro pendant; miniature glasses always work well. If you want to complete a vintage look, use a clock pendant. Clock pendants can be found in a range of sizes and styles, but my favourite is a small ornate clock, embellished with beautiful design. Pendants are incredibly versatile so don't restrict them to your neck wear; A great range of earring pendants are available, so use them as you see fit!

Earrings.

If you don't want to take focus from what you're wearing, earrings are ideal. With so many to choose from it is really up to you to see what works with your outfit. For subtlety, choose a stud style earring, or for the ostentatious, try a dangle earring. In summer, dangle earrings are great for accentuating a simple style, and in winter stud earrings can complete a look with elegance.

Motorcycling Clothing

"I want your boots, your clothes, and your motorcycle" to quote Arnie as the Terminator. He was right to steal the clothes from the biker, because motorcycle clothing is an essential consideration.

The absolutely critical thing to consider of motorcycle clothing is its safety. It is no good to be wearing jeans and a t-shirt, or thin jacket while on a motorbike. The harsh truth is that if, although hopefully not, you have an accident, these clothes will not protect you well at all.

Your head is the most important part of you to protect, in case of an accident, therefore a helmet is the most important piece of your equipment. Go to a local equipment shop and try one on, try ten on, try them all on until you find one that fits properly. It should not slip around when your head moves, even when it is unbuckled and should also be comfortable to wear for long periods of time. You can use a spoon to press down the foam a fraction if a helmet is otherwise a perfect fit, but it is important not to compromise in this area. Consider also visors - tinted visors can reduce visibility but will also help reduce glare from the sun. Consider carrying spares in a saddlebag so you can always be wearing the optimum type.

Once this is done, you can consider proper clothing. Looking good is obviously important but seeing as you're on a motorbike, you're going to be moving fast and hard to see clearly. Special motorbike leather jackets are tanned for strength and are much thicker than 'normal' leather jackets. Riding leathers should also be reasonably snug, because loose clothing can cause rashes or chafing. If the best quality leathers you can find aren't your favourite colour, never mind - your safety is crucial!

Textile gear is also available but my personal preference is for leather due to the increased levels of protection that it offers.

Boots are quite simple to get fitted properly - after all, I am sure you have bought shoes before and the process is essentially the same. One thing to consider is the weather of the environment you will ride in. Do you need your boots to be warm or breathable or waterproof, etc.?

It is always worth splashing out a little extra on more expensive equipment, to get an extra safety feature because you only have one life and motorcycles are an inherently dangerous mode of transport, as I am sure you know. Safe riding!

If you're a man who wants to dress well, you're going to need to go beyond the basics. That's right, you'll need to get some accessories. Not like purses or earrings though; you need accessories for men. But before you do that, you'll need to know some basics.

First thing that every man needs are some belts. Not a single belt, you need multiple belts. Why? Because your belt needs to match your shoes, and you also need more than one pair of shoes. The standard is three belts; a black one to go with black shoes, a brown one to go with brown shoes, and a casual one to go with sporty shoes.

If you want to look good and classy, you'll also buy yourself a watch. Not some cheap watch you can get at Wal-Mart. You're going to get a fancy watch, either leather or metal, and you want it to look expensive. If you're buying a watch for less than 100 dollars, you're buying the wrong watch.

If you wear formal clothing often enough, you should look into buying some cuff links. These are used to tighten the sleeve of a dress shirt around the wrist, and it looks a lot better than using buttons. And that's the point of getting these men's accessories, right? Looking good.

You also want to be prepared for any kind of weather. If it's cold outside, let's hope you have a nice looking pair of gloves. I'm not talking about ridiculous snow-gloves, you need some fancy, quality, leather gloves that restrict the movement of your fingers as little as possible. A scarf is another thing that a lot of men wear to keep warm when the weather is cold. Matching your scarf to your shirt can really make you stand out as a fashionable guy.

And if it's raining, you'll need an umbrella. There is nothing fashionable and formal for a man that has a hood attached. If you live somewhere with a lot of rain, invest in a quality, black umbrella, preferably one that can folded into a compact size when not in use. Nothing other than black is acceptable.

There's more to look into, of course, like glasses, pocket watches, even some necklaces and rings, but if you own all of the above, you have a good set of accessories for men. If you don't, then you should probably get to it!

How to Transform Your Dress With Fashion Accessories

The beauty of wearing a dress is that it suits all occasions. Whether you are wearing a tailored dress or a simple little black dress, it can be suited to fit your needs. You do not need to buy the most expensive dress on the rack; all you need is to transform what you already have. By using fashion accessories you can feel confident in what you are wearing.

I have more accessories then I do dresses. I make my accessories make my outfit. By tailoring your accessories I choose to be dressed-up or dressed-down. If I have a day event to go to but need a more formal approach for evening, I do not change my whole outfit but rather bring with me a few key pieces of accessories. This can be as simple as changing out my shoes and putting on a nice necklace and earring.

For a more dress-up appearance, consider wear drop down earrings, chandelier earrings or a simple pearl earring. Think about pulling your hair up into a twist or a chignon with a beautiful hair clip. Make good choices on your shoes. It can be a high heel or low, which ever you choose, make sure they are comfortable, as there is nothing worse than that painful blister.

Use a small purse or a clutch bag is much classier then "the big purse". If you are wearing a tailored dress a scarf is a nice accessory to wear to soften the look of all those tailored lines. A pin can make a dress make a statement. If you only have a black dress sitting in your closet, but are thinking of a fun fresh look, choose more colourful accessories. Then at night time choose the more reserve, classic pieces.

For a more dress-down appearance you can consider hoop earrings or ones that are more fun and colourful. If you choose to wear a necklace, this is where you can let your personality shine. There are a lot of great necklaces out there in all different styles that can make or break an outfit. Your hair can be in a simple braid or consider wearing a nice sunhat with your chosen dress. Sandals or low heels would be appropriate.

In the end, it is all about being true to you. Feel confident in what you wear and trust me people will take notice. Make your personality be said through the fashion accessories that you choose. Take the dress you have and have fun with it, then sit back and enjoy all those compliments that will be coming your way.

How to Dress Well Whatever Your Budget

I do not agree with everything stylists and fashion writers say we should do and wear.

From my local library, I picked up an old copy of Oprah Magazine. It was the August 2010 issue and this time, I do agree with O's Creative Director, Adam Glassman. Well, I agree with one sentence. In the article, Bargain Outfits, he said that clothes and accessories just need to fit well and make you feel beautiful.

I believe that advice applies to women, whatever our clothing budget or spur-of-the-moment spending is.

Here, for business and professional women over 40, are my views on how to make fit, feel and price work for you as modern dressing skills.

Fit Well

Clothes that do not fit well and look good on you are a waste of money and create negative energy in your life. There is one proviso. If it can be altered to fit perfectly and you have the alterations done, that turns a negative into a positive. Leather shoes will stretch. Leather shoes that are too small will not stretch far enough to be comfortable. Yes, I write that sentence from vain experience. Boxy jackets, skirts at an aging length, too revealing necklines, dolman or batwing sleeves that widen your upper body are all examples of poor fit.

Learn what styles suit your body shape. Reveal or suggest rather than hide your feminine curves. Go for effortless comfort rather than painful vanity. Use the secret weapon of shapewear to look fabulous when the occasion is important to you.

Feel Beautiful

There is no point buying clothes unless you feel beautiful wearing them. Clothes are about lifting your energy when you put them on. They are also about the happy memories you associate with u wearing those clothes. If you feel old, dowdy or unhappy in your current clothes, it is time to learn more about today's modern styles and how to wear them.

Sometimes we persist with annoying and uncomfortable things in clothes that could easily be fixed. Cut off that scratchy, annoying label; find a camisole to wear under that revealing top and replace or remove trims and buttons you do not like.

The material and its texture also have to look and feel beautiful to you when you wear it. If your wardrobe is full of same old, same old materials, go out and explore new materials and new styles. Imagine opening your wardrobe and thinking - How do I want my clothes to feel on me today? Then choose to fill your wardrobe with clothes and accessories that make you look and feel beautiful.

Top Dollar or Bargain Price

No matter how much we earn or have, we women all love a bargain. It is a bargain if it looks good on you; if it is modern in style and if it can be worn a few different ways with other clothes and/or accessories. It is not a bargain if you are restricted to only one way of wearing it.

You can make a cheap item look fantastic and more upmarket with quality accessories. Alternatively a quality classic item can look fantastic with cheap accessories as long as the accessories truly reflect your personality.

Top brands can be found at discount outlets, discount retailers, special sales or upmarket second-hand shops. The trick is to buy modern or evergreen classics that have a touch of difference. These will stay stylish for years.

This then is my expanded view on Adam Glassman's article. I believe that dressing well is fit, feel and how you put it all together.

For an expensive-looking element, add cufflinks to your outfit. To finish off, choose a pair of smart patent shoes. A touch of fun is to wear coloured socks. Make sure these don't contrast with your shirt.

Women's Graduation Outfits

Ladies can take inspiration from the red carpet hits at the recent Cannes Film Festival. Women's formal wear is bold and adventurous this season. Think bright colours, patterns and extravagant fabrics. Many styles are short like cocktail dresses, but the maxi dress craze continues too.

Shapes have been inspired by vintage fashion, particularly 1920s flapper dresses, and 1950s and 1960s dresses. Think cult TV shows Mad Men and Pan Am for historical inspiration.

The season's trends suit all body shapes. Cinched waists look great on fuller figured fashionistas to show off their curves. Straight cuts are great for thin female graduands.

Accessorise liberally. However, if you have chosen a dress embellished with sequins, studs or other elements, be careful not to overdo it. A sparkly dress paired with sparkly shoes could be a sparkle overkill. The best approach is to stick with either a neutral dress and very noticeable shoes, or vice versa.

Womens dresses look great worn with a shawl to keep you warm throughout the evening. Throw it lightly over your shoulders. Alternatively, invest in a feminine cardigan or fitted jacket.

Last but not least, choose a spectacular clutch to finish off the look. Make sure it's big enough form money, make-up and your camera or smart phone.
